JOOUST launches e-learning programme

Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic affairs Prof. Joseph Bosire recalled the various steps that led to the realization of the E-learning program in JOOUST. He termed the Launching of the program as a milestone being realized as a product of tireless work done by various stakeholders that have put in all their effort just to see the program running. Prof. Bosire said it is now time to show what we have to offer worldwide and therefore there is need to pull together the available resources.

Speaking during the launch, Dean School of Informatics and Innovative Systems Dr. Silvance O.Abeka who is also the pioneer of the program promised the school’s full support of the program.He said his team will continue working within and outside time to making sure that students registered under the E-learning program are getting what they deserve. He envisioned JOOUST emerging the best of all other institutions in offering E-learning program. “With the market driven courses that we have, together with good marketing strategies that we already have, I believe JOOUST is going to attract over half a million students in this program and will be rated the best in terms of quality of education offered.” Said Dr. Abeka. He confirmed that the E-learning Center together with the School of Informatics and Innovative Systems is equal to the task as he introduced new staff members who have been hired to spearhead the program.

Dr. Walter Akuno, Registrar in charge of Academic Affairs also confirmed the deans of schools commitment in supporting the program. Dr. Akuno encouraged the deans to influence their school members to prepare and upload more learning materials on the platform to ensure the availability of learning resources for students.
