The University through its outreach program trained healthcare workers in Homabay, Kisii, Kisumu, Siaya, Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga and Busia Counties on health communication. The training was conducted over a five year period with support from the University of Nairobi under through the Kenya and United States of America Partnership to Fight HIV/AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
