JOOUST SHINES AT THE 93RD KENYA NATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVALS

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology Student’s Choir have maintained their excellent performance at the just concluded 2019 Kenya National Music Festivals held at Kabarak University.

The University Choir floored both public and private universities in 3 classes i.e Class 665 Special Composition on theme “The Big Four Agenda”, Class 664 Special Composition on the theme “countering violent Extremism (CVE) and Counter Terrorism (CT) and Class 1116M which is an original composition of a Kiswahili Solo Verse which was done by Branice Makari, a second year student in the School of Education.

The Choir also performed well in the following classes which won position two; Class 666, Class 674, Class 1132M, Class 122M, Class 614, Class 603, and Class 613. And Classes 632, 633 and Class 634 at position 3 with very high marks of 90%

The team led by the Office of the Dean of Students represented by Ms. Annastacia Apondi and their trainers Dr. Zablon Maua and Ms. Mildred Mundhe has continued to pride the University with their starling performance .

This year’s festival was designed to promote peace and coexistence within the country under the theme “Enhancing National Unity, Cohesion and Integration”.
