Commissioning of the 2019/2020 Peer Educators

Over 50 Student Peer Educators have been commissioned having undergone full training and successfully completed the peer educators’ course.

The students drawn from different disciplines of their university education were trained on:

  • Sexual Reproductive Health
  • Gender-Based Violence
  • Mentorship
  • Economic Empowerment
  • Entrepreneurship

While officiating the commissioning of the Peer Educators, Prof. Obel Gor Christopher, who is also the Dean of Students at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, challenged the students to be good ambassadors of their training even to set good example, through their life style, to the rest of their fellow students.

The training was conducted by I Choose Life (ICL) organization which is partnering with the university through the directorate of AIDS Control, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention (ACADAP) in mentorship programs.
