JOOUST clinches top positions in KUPAA regional festivals

The University clinched top positions in the Regional Lake and Western Drama Festivals that was held on the 28th to the 29th February 2020. JOOUST emerged tops in the Cultural Dance, Narrative, Mime and their Kiswahili Play titled “Mwisho wa Kosa” and the Salsa Category.

While announcing the results, the adjudicators acknowledge the talents of the various actors but specifically pointed out the university’s’ male dancers. “JOOUST male dancers emerged the best overall dancers.” Said the judges.

The University also emerged 1st Runners up in the spoken word and 2nd runners up in the English play and comedy.

The Regional Festivals saw the participation of four universities namely; Rongo University which was the host university, Maseno University, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and JOOUST. The KUPAA National Festivals will be held at Meru University on from the 15th March 2020.
