JOOUST COUNCIL UNDERGOES INDUCTION TRAINING

The University Council has been taken through an induction training on various University operations, through a virtual platform, on Tuesday 28th July, 2020.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Agong’, noted that this was an important session for the newly appointed Council members to know the University operations. While giving his remarks, the Chairman of Council, Prof. Isaiah Wakindiki noted that the University Council was prepared and ready to steer the University to be among the top 10 most sought- after universities. “We are aiming at making JOOUST a powerhouse and the University Council will be at the forefront to ensure that we are the best in terms of employability in the Country. “Said Prof. Wakindiki.

The virtual induction session involved the University Council, the three (3) Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Registrars, Ag. Chief Finance Officer, Deans, Directors, Heads of Sections, Union Representatives and Student Representatives. The Council was taken though the University Operations that comprised of; University Policies and Procedures, JOOUST Financial position, academic programmes and student population, research, innovation and outreach, ACE INSEFOODS, Internal Controls, procurements, regulatory compliance among others.
