Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science of Technology Charity Club paid a visit to the Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Migori town in a bid to give back to society.

The club members had time to wash clothes, cook, clean, plant trees and spend quality time with the children, caregivers and staff.

In his speech during the fun filled event, Charity Club Chairman, Mr. Brian Sifuna urged the society in general to give a shoulder to lean on to the vulnerable children in the society. He also thanked the members for making the day a success.

Meanwhile, the Home Director of the Children’s home, Mr. Godfrey Otieno thanked the club members for finding time within their busy schedule to spend time with the children. “What a great blessing today to have you visit us. We thank you for the love and support you have shown to this children. We do not take it for granted. May God bless you all.”  Said  Mr. Otieno.

He further revealed that they have not been getting enough support, and urged well-wishers and donors to be the pillar for all orphans and help the children live comfortably despite the high costs of living in the country.

This is not the first time JOOUST Charity Club has painted a smile on faces of needy children. The club recently visited Neema Children’s Home in Eldoret where they donated clothes, eatables, refreshments and other assorted items.

JOOUST Charity Club was established in the year 2017. It has a total membership of over 62 members from all denominations. The Club’s activities involves helping the poor in society, cleaning the environment, planting trees and visiting the sick in hospitals. The patron of the club is the Deputy Vice- chancellor Academic Affairs, Professor Joseph Bosire.
