WEIHENSTEPHAN-TRIESDORF UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES FACULTY VISITS JOOUST

Weihenstephan-Triersdorf University of Applied Sciences Faculty visited Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology for a two- days interaction with JOOUST Faculty for a possible collaboration between the two universities.

While officially welcoming the visitors into the University on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Agong’ applauded the move and challenged both faculty members to innovate more academic programmes that would give opportunities for a healthy collaboration between the two universities. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs, Prof. Joseph Bosire, noted that it was a worthwhile collaboration that would enable students and staff benefit from trainings and exchange programmes.

Areas of interest for engagement include offering International Master in Farm Management Degree Programme (IMFM), Capacity building in E-learning materials and resources and identifying areas of Technology and Transfer Projects for collaboration. This visit has also come as an exchange program after two JOOUST Dons, Prof. Christopher Obel Gor and Dr. Michael Nyagol attended a conference in Germany two months ago.
