JOOUST AMONG TOP VASITIES IN GLOBAL RANKING FOR SCIENTISTS

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology emerged among the top ten Universities in Kenya in the global Alper-Doger Scientific Index (AD Scientific Index).

JOOUST was ranked position seven among the public universities in Kenya while having a regional rank of 155 and a world rank of 4660. Consequently, the university was able to emerge top nine general Institutions in Kenya.

The University had over 24 published scientists among the top 1000 in the AD Scientific Index, including the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Agong’, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs, Prof. Joseph Bosire and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Outreach, Prof. Benson Estambale who emerged the top JOOUST scientist at position thirty-six (36) countrywide.

The Alpher-Doger Scientific Index is a global ranking and analysis system based on the scientific and the value-added for the scientific productivity of individual scientists. It also provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of affiliated scientists.
